“The credit goes to a man whose face is covered with sweat, mud and dust and who is always behind the scenes and easy to forget,” says Tinyiko Chabalala, president of Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa (EAPA-SA) on theEAPA-SA Conference 2014’s event management team – EnOv8.
EnOv8 Event Management has for the sixth year in a row, managed the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa (EAPA-SA)’s national conference that took place in Port Elizabeth earlier in September.
The 15th annual EAPA-SA Conference was attended by 200 delegates at The Boardwalk Hotel in Port Elizabeth. Nicole Rollings, managing director at EnOv8 Event Management and her team embraced theBack to the Future: Valuing Our Legacy theme by focussing on generating awareness about the necessity to continuously adapt to innovations in the employee assistance field.
The EnOv8 team ensured that there was a golden thread incorporated in all the elements of the conference; from inception, where delegates were invited to register on the incredibly user-friendly online registration system developed by EnOv8, right through to the final farewells at the end of the conference, never missing a beat to maximise the delegates’ experience.
“It was very important to ensure that the programme was balanced and that delegates could enjoy the educational side of the conference as well as all the fun activities such as aqua yoga, a dinner cruise, cocktail party, and even an outdoor wellness session that got everyone moving and the blood pumping,” comments Rollings.
“The days of ‘traditional’ conferences with one way communication, information overload and boring programmes are something of the past; to keep the delegate engaged, and to justify time out of the office, it is important to have an interactive programme to make the overall experience memorable,” adds Rollings
The EAPA-SA 2013 Conference was no mean feat; the innovative event management team were responsible for a fully comprehensive conference and destination website filled with useful information about the conference and Port Elizabeth for the visitors to the city. An impressive full conference registration and RSVP management system was included on the site to ensure a smooth and hassle-free event. The online registration system allowed delegates to tailor-make their own unique packages, from day packages, full conference packages, dinners, transfers, accommodation and even an exciting boat cruise.
Financial Administration support, guest speakers management (30 in total), programme management, exhibition and exhibitor management, script writing for the Master of Ceremonies, information desk management throughout the conference as well as managing the beautifully branded awards all formed part of the services provided by EnOv8.
Chabalala applauded EnOv8 for their outstanding services. “EnOv8 provided the EAPA-SA with vigorous support and continued assistance in the crucial areas of marketing, registration, programming, photography and coordination. Thanks to the EnOv8 team, our goal of hosting a successful educational conference remains nothing short of attainable.”
“Flawlessly delivering on the complex nature, scope and magnitude of the conference is what we at EnOv8 pride ourselves on. We are honoured to have managed six EAPA-SA Conferences and thank the EAPA-SA for their continuous support,” concludes Rollings.
